The park is built into a hillside, not laid over a flat lot. Stone walls hold six terraced levels, and each row of sites rests a little above the one below it, so every rig gets its own sightline into the pines.
The ground is gravel, the shade is ponderosa, and once you turn off Hwy 70 and climb to your level, the highway noise drops away behind you.
Quiet hours are the culture.
Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and guests tend to plan around them rather than push against them. Evenings here are awning lights and cool air.
At 6,900 feet, summer nights still call for a sweatshirt, and the stars over the ridge do the rest of the entertaining.
Where the park sits.
RV Resorts of Ruidoso is on the south side of town at 25943 US Hwy 70, just west of Camelot Rd, next to Motel 6. Midtown Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs are both minutes away, and groceries, fuel and the hospital are all inside a ten-minute drive.
Check-in starts at 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The office is open daily, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and reservations are confirmed by the office, so you always talk to a person who knows the park.
